Updates From Triomphe Global Marketing.
Dreamforce is blissful. If you love technology, Salesforce.com’s annual convention is a must see. I attended Dreamforce last year and was impressed with the innovative things that people were developing on Salesforce’s cloud platform. It was also fun attending the keynote speeches in person and seeing Marc Benioff and Marissa Meyer. If you need a healthy dose of tech inspiration, this is the place to go.
This year, Triomphe Global Marketing plans to make it’s mark at Dreamforce. We had a such a great time at the AngelHack Seattle Hackathon that we decided to fly the team down to San Francisco for another caffeine-fueled weekend of coding madness. This time, we’ll be competing in the Salesforce Hackathon at Dreamforce from October 10-12, 2014. While the turnout should be much stronger than AngelHack, our team has been preparing and is ready to compete.
We plan to continue our focus on building automation tools that help optimize search engine marketing (SEM) on Google, Bing, and Yahoo. This time around, our team is going to build a mobile app that deconstructs user search and rebuilds them into keywords and ads. These keywords and ads will fit neatly into a scalable account structure. The goal would be to create an engine that optimizes an account as it learns from user searches. This would free up the marketers time to focus on more strategic initiatives, such as testing ad copy templates and landing pages.
Ultimately, our goal is to take this module, and ones that we’ve built over the past few months to create a cloud-based SEM account build and optimization tool. Google AdWords and Bing AdCenter are powerful marketing tools, but they are far too “low-level” for most marketers. By offering a “higher-level” tool that simplifies the development and optimization of SEM accounts, online marketers can spend less time tinkering with keywords, ad groups, and campaigns, and focus more on their customers and messaging.
If you’re down in San Francisco for Dreamforce this year, feel free to stop by the developer center at the Moscone Convention Center and say, “hi!”.
We are excited to announce that we took second place in the Spring 2014 AngelHack Seattle Hackathon. The Seattle AngelHack competition took place over the weekend of May 17-18, 2014. It was hosted at the WeWork workspace in South Lake Union. The goal of the competition was to build prototypes of exciting new online technologies that can improve peoples’ lives. There were a number of local entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in attendance and there was a terrific keynote speech by Julep’s CEO, Jane Park.
There was a strong turnout at the AngelHack Seattle event as the competitors filled up the WeWork workspace for the weekend. By the end of the competition, 20 teams had completed a project and were ready to demo their product. There were two rounds of judging and a number of impressive demos. After the first round, 8 teams, including the team from Triomphe Global Marketing, were selected to present in the final round. After a great round of presentations, our team was awarded second place.
For our demo, we focused on a new tool to help online marketers build more targeted SEM accounts. In most companies, SEM accounts tend to grow organically as the program scales. This can lead to inconsistencies in account structure and gaps in targeted keywords. The goal of the project was to build a cloud-based system to generate robust account structures in a scalable way. We built a demo of the tool using the Ruby programming language and prototyped it using a Ruby-on-Rails app hosted on Heroku. By the end of the weekend, we were pleased with the progress that we made.
We plan to continue developing tools that make building and optimizing SEM accounts on Google, Bing, and Yahoo easier to manage. After our account building tool is more mature, we plan to add on keyword optimization and ad copy A/B testing modules.
If you’re interested in discussing any of these tools with us, feel free to send us an email
